Perhaps the single most effective weapon in hotel marketing is e-mail newsletter. Guests get to read many of them throughout the guest journey - starting from the booking confirmation, and pre-arrival e-mail, to upselling, rating their stay, and many more in between. 

The pre-arrival e-mail is usually sent out a couple of days before arrival with the purpose to prepare guests for their stay by providing all the essential information needed to know.  

Since the pre-arrival e-mail is the one with one of the highest open rates, we believe this is a great opportunity where to communicate online check-in.

If you are sending out a pre-arrival email to your guests mentioning all the benefits your hotel has to offer, it's a great way to inform the guests they will be able to check in online already a couple of days before they arrive.

The reason is to make them aware that the SMS and E-MAIL communication that will be received a few days before they arrive is coming from you and there is no need to be doubtful about the check-in link. In addition, it is also a way to highlight all the benefits and what can the guest gain by doing so.
